About Ride Banana
Get there under your own steam
Last updated August 13, 2026
We started Ride Banana in 2022 for a simple reason: the writing we wanted to read about cycling, scooters & e-mobility, the commute mostly did not exist, and what did exist was selling something.
The tone we aim for is cheerful, mechanical, allergic to gear snobbery — we assume you are intelligent, busy, and able to tell when you are being flattered.
What we cover
The site is organised into 6 sections:
- Cycling — Riding a bicycle for transport rather than sport, and the kit that actually matters.
- Scooters & E-Mobility — E-scooters, e-bikes, batteries, range and what the motor is really doing.
- The Commute — Routes, weather, luggage, sweat and arriving somewhere fit to be seen.
- Maintenance — Punctures, brakes, chains and the repairs worth learning before you need them.
- Safety & Rules — Traffic, visibility, road position and how to be predictable to a driver.
- Riding the City — What makes a city rideable, and how riders cope with the ones that are not.
Who writes it
Every article carries a named writer with a profile page, and nothing is published anonymously. You can see the full list on our writers page.
How it is funded
Ride Banana is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no sight of, and no influence over, what we publish — the wall between the two is described in full in our editorial policy.
Who publishes it
Ride Banana is published by Two Wheel Press, a sole proprietorship of Priya Nair.

Corrections
We correct errors of fact promptly and visibly. If you spot one, tell us — see the corrections section of our editorial policy for what happens next.
