Cleaning a Bike Badly Is Worse Than Not Cleaning It
Water forced into a bearing does more damage than a month of road grime ever will. The order and the pressure both matter more than the product.

What seals are designed to resist
Bicycle bearings are protected by seals designed to keep out splashes, spray and the gradual arrival of road grit. Where the water gets in

Frames with drain holes exist because water does get into tubes, and blocking or ignoring those holes lets it sit there. Degreaser works by dissolving oils and greases, and it makes no distinction between the ones you want gone and the ones holding a bearing together. The correct use is a small amount applied deliberately to the drivetrain, kept away from anything with a bearing behind it.

The order that makes sense
Start with the dirtiest parts, so that grime removed from the drivetrain is not being washed back over an already clean frame. Work from a bucket with a brush rather than blasting, since mechanical agitation removes grime that water alone will not. Rinse gently from above and let water run downwards, which is the direction the seals are designed to cope with.
Dry the chain before lubricating it, because oil applied over water traps the water against the metal underneath.
Finish by riding a short distance and reapplying lubricant if needed, since the first few minutes reveal what the wash disturbed.
What washing is actually for
The mechanical benefit of cleaning is removing abrasive grit from places where parts move against each other. That is overwhelmingly the chain, the sprockets and the brake surfaces, and almost nowhere else on the machine. Cleaning the frame is cosmetic, which is a perfectly good reason to do it and not a mechanical necessity.
By the second week of riding, a clean frame does make it far easier to spot cracks, corrosion and loose fittings during a check. Salt is the exception, since road salt is genuinely corrosive and rinsing it off after winter rides protects the frame and fasteners.

A bicycle that is cleaned less often but never pressure washed will outlast one that is spotless and blasted weekly.
