Wet Leaves and Frost Arrive on a Schedule
Seasonal surface hazards appear in predictable places at predictable times, which makes them among the few cycling risks a rider can anticipate rather than react to.

Most road hazards appear without warning. Seasonal ones do not, and that predictability is the most useful thing about them.
Leaves are slippery for a specific reason
